Our Story

Jolie’s “Ants in the Pants” adventure began in 2009 upon graduating from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. What started as a creative outlet sewing and making children’s clothes blossomed into a career of entertaining children!

Jolie’s award winning children's book Georgie and the Ants in the Pants, published in 2013, was inspired by the birth of her niece Sloane. When Jolie was invited for her first author visit at Giggle and Grow Pre-School & Early Learning Center, she had an idea to incorporate music into her storytelling. With no prior experience, she picked up a ukulele and taught herself how to play by watching youtube videos. In addition to learning childhood favorites, she began writing her own songs too! After experiencing the joy and laughter her performance provoked from the students at Giggle and Grow, Jolie knew this was the destiny of her "Ants in the Pants" adventure all along!

Through Ants in the Pants, Jolie encourages children to sing and dance while embracing their individuality, silliness, and excitement! The theme of believing in yourself, self love, and spreading smiles is ever present in her lyrics and overall message. Since 2013 Jolie has visited hundreds of schools and libraries with her music and stories, along with performing at numerous birthday parties and special events.

What is Jolie up to now?

On March 31st, 2017, Jolie gave birth to a little boy! Becoming a Mommy has inspired her more then ever to play music, write songs and stories, and continue #spreadingsmiles with her performances around NJ.

Jolie continues to tour schools with her "Ants in the Pants" Author Visit, along with Move & Groove with Miss Jolie music classes, and perform at birthday parties and special events.

She continues to work on new projects, and her second book, Searching for Good Luck, is in the process of being illustrated!
